Περίεργη πληροφορία: Μπορούν να κόψουν μόνα τους την ουρά ως μηχανισμό αντιπερισπασμού του εχθρού για να ξεφύγουν από τον θηρευτή. Η ουρά συνεχίζει να ελίσσεται κάτι το οποίο αποσπά τη προσοχή του εχθρού. Στη συνέχει η ουρά μπορεί να μεγαλώσει και πάλι.

Γενικές πληροφορίες:

• Τα συγκεκριμένα γκέκο είναι πιο δραστήρια κατά τις νυχτερινές ώρες και κατά την ημέρα αναζητούν καταφύγιο κάτω από βράχους.
• Λόγω της αναπαραγωγής στην αιχμαλωσία υπάρχει μεγάλη ποικιλία χρωμάτων στα συγκεκριμένα είδη.
• Στη φύση περνούν μια περίοδο χαμηλού μεταβολικού ρυθμού κατά τη χειμερινή περίοδο και κρύβονται σε λαγούμια. Επιβιώνουν με τα αποθέματα λίπους της ουράς κατά την περίοδο αυτή.
