Weird Info: Female Standing’s Day Geckos have endolymphatic chalk sacs on the sides of their necks, which store calcium necessary for egg production. This feature is unusual and not commonly found in many other gecko species.

Διατροφή: Τρέφονται με έντομα, ασπόνδυλα και μικρότερες σαύρες. Επίσης τρέφονται με φρούτα, γύρη και νέκταρ.

Περίεργη πληροφορία: Τα θηλυκά του είδους έχουν ενδολυμφατικούς σάκους στο πλάι του λαιμού ώστε να αποθηκεύουν ασβέστιο για τη παραγωγή των αυγών.

• Είναι στην κόκκινη λίστα της IUCN ως απειλούμενα είδη κυρίως λόγω καταστροφής ενδιαιτήματος αλλά και λόγω εμπορίου του είδους.
